Freetown, Sierra Leone – A high-level Indian Parliamentary Delegation, led by Hon’ble Member of Parliament H. E. Shri Shrikant Eknath Shinde, arrived in Freetown on a two-day visit from May 28 to May 30, 2025, according to a statement from the Indian High Commission in Sierra Leone.
The delegation’s visit is part of India’s diplomatic outreach following the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent tourists.

In addition to political discussions, the delegation will meet with representatives of mainstream media in Sierra Leone and interact with the Indian Diaspora, reaffirming the Government of India’s commitment to its citizens abroad.
