Campaigns & Promotions

A timeline of activities carried out over the years…

 

  • June 2017 – UNDP Communication and outreach campaign on new bail and sentencing policies. Involved review of the communication strategy developed by the PRO of the SL Judiciary as well as developing and distributing a variety of electronic media and print media products.
  • April 2016 – CAIPA/UK AID – Public sensitization on availability of free health care drugs. This project involved production of radio jingles in eight local languages, media buying and monitoring of radio stations in all 14 districts in Sierra Leone. It also included design and production of flyers, organizing float parades and distribution of the flyers in all district headquarter towns in the country.
  • 2011 to Date – Moneygram International Marketing Agency – Designed and managed a marketing strategy every year, including national promotions on an annual basis (Ramadan and Christmas). These involve production of radio jingles, newspaper and TV adverts, media buying across all media in all districts, managing events such as raffle draws as well as CSR activities. We also supervise branding of all Moneygram agent locations.
  • October 2011- Sierra Leone Commercial Bank Jubilee Savings Promotion (for a period of six weeks) Design and production of print and electronic media adverts and managing a raffle at the end of the promotion.
  • December 2010UNICEF “Hang-Up” campaign. Public sensitization in Freetown and the Provinces on the use of mosquito bed nets for malaria prevention using drama.
  • April – June 2010 – National Revenue Authority (NRA) – National Sensitization on tax issues. This involved development, production and broadcasting of radio jingles, design and production of handbills as well as organizing workshops and float parades in all the regions.
  • 2010 – March 2010 – Concern Worldwide – Everyone Can Save a Life – This was a national campaign focused on soliciting innovative ideas from the public on how to reduce maternal and child mortality. It involved production of handbills and radio jingles and ensuring national broadcast, as well as placement of newspaper adverts. It also involved using Theatre for Development activities in several communities around the country as a means of engaging members of the public and soliciting ideas from them.
  • 2008 – March 2010 International Rescue Committee (IRC) – Anti Gender Based Violence Campaign. This was a national campaign against gender based violence. It involved design of billboard displays, construction and erection of billboards in all district headquarter towns. It also involved production of a weekly radio soap opera, radio discussion programmes, a theme song and radio jingles that were broadcast on radio stations in all the districts.
  • June 2004 to Dec 2007 – Celtel (now Airtel) PR Consultant. During this period, developed a PR Strategy and action plan and implemented the plan. Also managed a variety of product launches for the company. This included producing radio adverts in local languages and media buying across all media. It also included setting up and managing a variety of product campaigns.  During this period, Premier Media also managed the commissioning of Cell Sites in various locations around the country.
  • February to July 2004 Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) Sensitization Campaign. Commissioned by the Government of Sierra Leone through Action Aid SL.
  • April 2002 – World Health Organisation – HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign. This involved production of short video messages by prominent national and international figures and having them broadcast on national television as TV spots.
  • 2002 – UNDP – Truth and Reconciliation Commission Sensitization Campaign. This involved the production of a theme song, radio jingles and a TV drama on the truth and reconciliation process after the civil war in Sierra Leone.
  • June – July 2001 – Sierra Leone Commercial Bank – Design and implementation of an advertising campaign for the introduction of the first Automated Teller Machine (A.T.M.) in Sierra Leone. It involved radio jingles, newspaper adverts, TV advert and an educational video on use of the ATM.
