Freetown, Sierra Leone – The Ady Macauley Football Gala wrapped up in spectacular fashion on Sunday, June 15, 2025, as Hill Street FC triumphed over Soldier Street FC in a fiercely contested final at the Akibo Betts/Tower Hill Football Field.
Organized by the Soja Tong Community, the tournament attracted hundreds of football fans eager to witness the exciting conclusion to this year’s event. Over the past weeks, the gala has fostered community spirit, showcased local talent, and promoted youth engagement, reinforcing its significance as a major sports tradition in Freetown.
Held in honor of Ady Macauley, a 2028 APC Flagbearer Aspirant, the tournament has grown into a symbol of unity and development, bringing neighborhoods together through the passion of football.
The grand final saw both teams displaying exceptional skill and determination, with Mark Sankoh securing victory for Hill Street FC with a decisive goal, earning his team the prestigious Ady Macauley Trophy.
