Freetown, Sierra Leone – June 2025 — One Mobile has concluded a productive week of high-profile engagements as the company scales up efforts to expand network connectivity across Sierra Leone, with a specific focus on bridging the digital divide in rural communities.AC
In a pivotal meeting with Chief Minister and Chief Innovation Officer Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, the One Mobile team discussed strategies to enhance rural network access and applauded Sierra Leone’s inclusion among just three African countries eligible for the TikTok Creator Fund. The team commended Dr. Sengeh’s commitment to empowering young digital creators, signaling the country’s growing influence in the global digital economy.
Later, the delegation met with the Minister of Communications, Technology and Innovation, Madam Salima Bah, to express congratulations on the successful 2025 Government Innovation Summit, where One Mobile officially launched its flagship product, the Alafia MiFi device. The team presented the device to the minister and other Ministry officials as a symbol of their ongoing partnership to advance intelligent connectivity solutions.
The week of engagements culminated in a visit to the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), where One Mobile extended appreciation to Director General Mr. Fuad Daboh. Discussions centered on collaborative efforts to improve the digital infrastructure that supports social security services nationwide. An Alafia MiFi device was also presented to Mr. Daboh in recognition of NASSIT’s leadership in innovation.
These visits mark a significant step forward in One Mobile’s mission to deliver inclusive and reliable connectivity across Sierra Leone, while strengthening partnerships with key public institutions.
