FREETOWN — Two female pupils, including a 15-year-old juvenile, have been remanded in custody for allegedly sharing an explicit image of a schoolmate without her consent. The accused appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1 on Wednesday, June 25, 2025.
They are facing two counts under the Cyber Security and Crime Act No. 7 of 2021: Sharing an intimate image without consent (Section 48(1)(a)) and posting a sexually explicit image without consent (Section 48(1)(e)).
According to court documents, the incident occurred in April 2025 in Freetown. It is alleged that the accused circulated explicit images of the victim without her consent, whether the intention was to shame, humiliate, or cause harm.

The first accused, a 15-year-old juvenile, was ordered to be detained at the juvenile correctional center, while the second accused, a 20-year-old, was sent to the female correctional facility.
Both appeared on the court dressed in school uniforms. The matter was adjourned to Friday, June 27, 2025, for continuation.
