Sierra Leone’s entertainment scene reached a thrilling climax on Saturday, 19 July 2025, as the curtains fell on the first edition of the Cribs International Talent Search. Held at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown, the finale showcased 15 weeks of passion, performance, and artistic growth, culminating in the victory of Francis Reffel, popularly known as Keltony.
Emerging from a pool of standout finalists—including Melrose Fatima Swarray (#62), Anita Macmillan Sesay (#139), Frankstella Freeman (#150), Chocolate and Makissa (#224)—Keltony claimed the top prize of 300,000 New Leones, along with a talent management contract, studio recording opportunities, and mentorship support from Cribs International.
Keltony’s heartfelt performances and unwavering fanbase earned him accolades and sealed his status as a rising star. “I thank the organizers and my super fans for making me actualize my dream… You are all part of this achievement. I love you all,” he told a cheering crowd.
Founded by music executive Sho Cole, Cribs International launched the competition to spotlight untapped talent and foster structured pathways for Sierra Leonean creatives. “This is about building a future for Sierra Leonean music,” Cole affirmed. “We’re investing in dreams that deserve to be heard.”
The grand finale was more than a contest—it was a celebration of diversity, resilience, and the power of community. Judges praised all finalists as “already stars,” acknowledging the transformative journey they each undertook.
With nationwide buzz and a promising debut season, Cribs International signals a new era in Sierra Leone’s creative industry—one poised to elevate homegrown talent onto the global stage.
