UNIMTECH Vice-Chancellor Appointed to Editorial Board of Global Public Health Journal

Freetown, Sierra Leone – July 23, 2025 — The University of Management and Technology (UNIMTECH) proudly announces that its Acting Vice-Chancellor and Principal, Professor Osman Sankoh COR (Mallam O.), has been appointed to the Editorial Board of BMC Public Health, a leading international peer-reviewed journal published by Springer Nature.

The journal, renowned for its emphasis on disease epidemiology and public health determinants, selected Mallam O. in recognition of his exceptional editorial experience and significant scholarly contributions to global health.

Mallam O. brings a distinguished editorial portfolio, including current service as Associate Editor of Tropical Medicine and International Health and long-standing membership on the International Advisory Board of The Lancet Global Health. He previously served as Associate Editor for the International Journal of Epidemiology and PLOS One, stepping down in 2018 to focus on national development initiatives.
