FREETOWN — Magistrate Mustapha Briama Jah of Pademba Road Court No.1 on Tuesday, 23 September 2025, ordered the remand of two men, Mohammed Sanu and Kelly Marrah, on charges of misprision of treason.
The accused made their first court appearance and were arraigned on a single count of misprision of treason, contrary to law. According to the charge sheet, between 26th November 2023 and 26th July 2025, the two men allegedly concealed knowledge of treason committed by Daniel Keleh Mansaray and others unknown, despite being aware of the offense.
No plea was taken during the proceedings.
State Counsel Yusuf Isaac Sesay requested an adjournment, citing the need to file the consent of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice. He also indicated plans to present witnesses at the next hearing.
Magistrate Jah granted the application and ordered the accused to be remanded. The matter was adjourned to September 29, 2025, for further hearing.
