Freetown, October 22, 2025: Amid Kargbo, a 27-year-old businessman, has been remanded at the Male Correctional Center in Freetown following his appearance before Magistrate Adama Kandeh at Pademba Road Court No.4 on Wednesday. He faces a charge of Obtaining Money by False Pretences, in violation of Section 32(1) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to court documents, the alleged incident occurred on Saturday, August 10, 2025, at No.3 Regent Street in Freetown. Prosecution claims that Kargbo fraudulently obtained NLe 15,000 from Prince Bangura by pretending to have clothing items for sale—knowing this to be false.

Sergeant 1306 Sesay A.B is leading the prosecution, while Defense Counsel F. Bangura requested a one-week adjournment to confer with the accused. Magistrate Kandeh granted the request and ordered Kargbo’s remand pending further proceedings.

The case has been adjourned to October 30, 2025.
