Celebrating a decade of service, AI Networks, one of Sierra Leone’s leading internet service providers, has donated free high-speed internet to the Government Model Secondary School (GMSS) in Freetown. The donation, made on Thursday, October 30, 2025, underscores the company’s commitment to bridging the digital divide and supporting education through connectivity.
The ceremony, held at the school’s computer lab, marked a milestone in AI Networks’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. The company, known for its reliable fiber-optic internet and secure VPN services, has expanded its footprint nationwide over the past ten years, offering 24/7 customer support and cutting-edge technology solutions.
Empowering Education Through Connectivity
Speaking at the event, AI Networks CEO Reverend Engineer Alvin Emerson-Thomas emphasized the importance of digital access in modern education.
“This initiative will help students access the internet to expand their research knowledge and become better versions of themselves,” he said.
He added that AI Networks has grown into a truly Sierra Leonean company that prioritizes quality, reliability, and innovation in service delivery.
School Leadership Welcomes the Initiative
Principal of GMSS, Abass M. Leigh, praised the donation as a transformative step for the school’s digital infrastructure. He noted that the internet has already improved biometric registration processes and enabled students to access their online portals more efficiently.
“This support enhances both management and learning outcomes,” Leigh said, urging students and teachers to make full use of the service and calling for its long-term sustainability.
