Dora’s Picture 046 to Premiere ‘Our Father’s Home’

November 24, 2025: Dora’s Picture 046, one of Sierra Leone’s most ambitious and consistent film production houses, will premiere its latest feature film, Our Father’s Home, on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Salima Hall, Conga Water, Old Road Junction.

The production company says the film aims not only to entertain but also to educate audiences through a compelling narrative rooted in family dynamics and the emotional realities that bind—and sometimes divide—households.

A Story of Family and Legacy

Written and directed by filmmaker Isaiah Ishmael Koroma, Our Father’s Home has already generated strong conversations among film enthusiasts. Advance screenings have been described as some of the company’s most mature and emotionally resonant work to date.

The film explores themes of inheritance, sibling rivalry, grief, unresolved trauma, and the weight of parental legacy—issues that mirror the everyday experiences of many Sierra Leonean families.

Behind the Scenes

Executive Producer Augusta Dora Tucker, widely known in the industry as Doratee, led a highly coordinated team to bring the story to life. Production Manager Isatu Allie oversaw day-to-day operations, while welfare and logistics were managed by F2 and Bintu Sudan.

The project also benefited from the expertise of award-winning makeup artist Udratee, who contributed to the visual authenticity of the characters. Location management was handled by Doratee herself, ensuring each setting captured the intended emotional tone. Editor A.T. Flex, popularly known as Dope Cage, has been credited with delivering “a masterclass in pacing and emotional rhythm,” shaping the raw footage into a powerful final cut.

Industry Anticipation

Speaking exclusively to Premier News, Doratee emphasized the depth and emotional honesty of the project:

“Isaiah Koroma poured everything into this script. It is personal, it is painful, and it is profoundly Sierra Leonean. This film does not preach; it simply holds up a mirror. Audiences will recognise their own families, their own silences, their own regrets.”

She added that the film represents a landmark moment for the company:

Our Father’s Home is not just another film; it is a statement of arrival. We are telling our stories with the depth, craft, and fearlessness they deserve.”
