Freetown, Sierra Leone – May 19, 2025: The Ady Macauley Movement (AMM) has officially endorsed the stance of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Secretariat, aligning itself with the party’s call for accountability regarding the fraudulent printing and distribution of fake APC membership cards.

The alleged scheme, revealed through credible reports, was purportedly designed to manipulate the outcome of the 2026 APC National Delegates Conference. In response, the AMM has condemned the act as a deliberate attempt to undermine the party’s democratic processes.

Prominent anti-corruption advocate and APC standard bearer candidate,  Ady Macauley has urged for an immediate and thorough investigation, emphasizing that all perpetrators must be held accountable. He insisted that any form of electoral manipulation within the party is unacceptable and must be dealt with decisively.

“Forgery and manipulation of party credentials are violations of the APC Constitution,” Macauley stated, citing Article 9 (a) (iv), which mandates valid membership through formal application and payment of prescribed fees.

The AMM praised the APC Secretariat for its unwavering resolve in addressing the issue and called on the party’s disciplinary committee to act swiftly to safeguard transparency in the delegate selection process.

Call for Calm and Responsible Communication

In light of rising tensions, the AMM has urged APC supporters and stakeholders to remain calm and refrain from spreading unverified rumors on social media. The movement encouraged reliance on official APC communication channels for accurate updates.

“We must not allow misinformation to divide us. Order, transparency, and discipline must guide us as we work toward reclaiming national leadership,” the AMM emphasized.
