Freetown—Legal professionals and political stakeholders gathered at the Lagoonda Entertainment Complex in Aberdeen on June 11, 2025, for a high-profile dialogue on “The Role of Lawyers in Sierra Leonean Politics.” The event, led by Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK), Esq., a respected legal luminary and former Attorney General, explored the historical, contemporary, and future contributions of legal practitioners in shaping Sierra Leone’s democracy.
Among the notable attendees was Ady Macauley, Esq., a renowned human rights advocate and leading flagbearer aspirant for the All People’s Congress (APC) 2028 elections. Macauley’s presence underscored his commitment to justice, civic engagement, and political reform, reinforcing the crucial role lawyers play in governance.
