Sierra Leone – The Ballanta Academy of Music and Performing Arts (BAMPA) will on Saturday, March 21, 2026, present another edition of An Evening with KFD, a cultural showcase hosted by renowned arts advocate Dr. Kitty Fadlu-Deen (KFD). The event begins at 7:30 PM at the Logie Wright Auditorium, 27 Liverpool Street, Freetown.
The programme continues Dr. Fadlu-Deen’s mission of amplifying Sierra Leone’s creative voices by spotlighting individuals shaping the nation’s arts and cultural landscape. Known for her unwavering commitment to cultural development, Dr. Fadlu-Deen uses the platform to connect audiences with artists and stakeholders whose public contributions are widely recognized, but whose personal journeys remain largely untold.
This year’s edition will feature a distinguished lineup of guests, including Stephan Flore, Mrs. Margaret Nelson-Williams, Ms. Aminata Bockarie, Egerton Maitland Esq., Bonnie Johnson-Williams, and Ibrahim S. Bangura. Through their stories, the evening aims to highlight both achievements and ongoing challenges within Sierra Leone’s creative sector, touching on issues of recognition, sustainability, and support for artists.
“The programme aims to bring Sierra Leonean arts to the forefront, offering audiences an opportunity to engage with and support local talent. Through An Evening with KFD, BAMPA seeks to create a platform that empowers cultural voices while inspiring broader recognition and support for the arts,” Dr. Fadlu-Deen said.
Attendance is open to the public with a minimum donation of NLe 250, underscoring BAMPA’s commitment to accessibility while supporting the sustainability of its programmes. Guests will also enjoy a special discount at the Music Café on the premises with their tickets, adding a social and experiential dimension to the evening.
