Freetown, Sierra Leone — October 3, 2025: BnB, a Sierra Leonean fintech company and subsidiary of the Canadian multinational Cauridor, has reaffirmed its commitment to community development by donating school items to pupils at the Murray Town Municipal Primary School in Freetown.
The donation, made on Friday, October 3, 2025, is part of BnB’s corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at supporting education and empowering future generations. The company, established in 2015, specializes in international money transfer and payment services, with a focus on financial inclusion for the unbanked across Africa. Through its BnB Cash App, the company connects major remittance platforms like Western Union and MoneyGram to local banking partners such as UBA.
Welcoming the donation, Head Teacher Mrs. Mary Aminata Kargbo expressed deep appreciation for BnB’s support. “As management, we are happy and very much appreciate this gesture. This donation will enhance learning for our pupils and contribute to economic growth in society,” she said. Mrs. Kargbo noted that the partnership with BnB was the result of ongoing engagements and expressed hope that the collaboration would continue.
Speaking on behalf of BnB, the Head of Corporations emphasized the company’s belief in education as a cornerstone for a brighter future. “This donation is part of our commitment to support communities and pupils with essential school items. As the academic year begins, we hope this small contribution boosts their confidence and inspires them to work hard toward their goals,” he stated.
Alhaji Umar Jalloh, a shareholder of BnB, echoed the sentiment, describing education as one of the strongest tools for building a better future. He encouraged pupils to take their studies seriously, stressing that discipline and hard work are key to success. “Believe in yourselves. Someday, you could be the president, a minister, or the best innovator,” he said.
Former councillor Mrs. Haja A. Koroma also commended BnB for its commitment and motivation, assuring the company that the pupils would take good care of the donated items. She urged BnB to continue supporting the school and the wider community.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from pupil Sunkarie Kamara, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to BnB for their generous support.
