Freetown—Musa Koroma, also known as “Number One,” made another court appearance yesterday before Magistrate Augustine Brima Samura at Pademba Road Magistrate Court No.8, facing seven charges related to theft and property damage.
Koroma, who identified himself as a contractor, is accused of conspiracy to commit larceny, multiple counts of theft under Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916, and malicious damage under Section 51 of the Malicious Damage Act 1861. The alleged crimes took place on March 14, 2025, at Adonkia Road, Loko Fakia, Goderich, in Freetown.
According to the prosecution, led by Detective Police Constable Joseph C. Dumbuya, Koroma conspired with unknown individuals to commit larceny. The charges specify that he allegedly stole cash, household items, electronics, and personal belongings from multiple victims, amounting to tens of thousands of Leones. Among the stolen goods were a smart TV, standing fan, foam mattress, clothing, and cooking utensils.
Additionally, Koroma is accused of maliciously damaging three makeshift structures valued at 50,000 Leones, property of Foday Osman Daboh.
Following the reading of the charges, Koroma pleaded not guilty. The prosecution requested a short adjournment for the next witness to testify, and Magistrate Samura set the next hearing for June 19, 2025, while allowing the accused to remain on bail.
The case continues, with further testimony expected in the coming hearings.
