Freetown, July 19, 2025 — Magistrate Samuel Koroma of Pademba Road Court No.4 has issued a bench warrant against Marwan Malador, Manager of Malador Company Limited, for failing to appear in court over allegations of fraud.

Malador faces two serious charges: Conspiracy to Defraud, and Fraudulent Conversion, in violation of Section 20 (1) (iv) (a) of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to the indictment, on August 26, 2024, in Freetown, Malador allegedly conspired with unknown persons to defraud Roseline Fatu Cowan of $30,000, equivalent to Le729,000, which was entrusted to him for travel arrangements to the United States.

The accused failed to attend court proceedings on Friday, prompting the complainant’s counsel, Lawyer Ibrahim S.Y Kamara, to petition for a bench warrant. He confirmed Malador had been served with the indictment and was fully aware of the scheduled appearance.

In response, Magistrate Koroma granted the application and issued a bench warrant for Malador’s arrest to ensure his presence in future proceedings.

The case is slated to continue on Monday, July 22, 2025.
