Dr. Ibrahim Bangura Mourns APC National Chairman

FREETOWN – Dr. Ibrahim Bangura, aspirant for the All People’s Congress (APC) standard bearer, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, National Chairman of the APC, describing him as a distinguished statesman, loyal party stalwart, and dedicated servant of Sierra Leone.

In a condolence message issued Wednesday, Dr. Bangura said the passing of Alhaji Mansaray represents a significant loss to both the APC and the nation, noting that his decades of service will remain an enduring legacy.

“Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray devoted his life to the service of the APC and Sierra Leone. From his early days as President of the National Youth League to his leadership roles as Deputy Chairman and subsequently Chairman of the APC, he demonstrated unwavering commitment, loyalty, and dedication to the ideals of our party and the development of our nation,” Dr. Bangura stated.

He highlighted the late Chairman’s distinguished public service record, which included serving as a Member of Parliament, Minister of Labour and Employment, Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources, and member of the APC National Advisory Council.

According to Dr. Bangura, Alhaji Mansaray was widely respected for his wisdom, calm disposition, and commitment to party unity, serving as a source of guidance and institutional memory for generations of APC members.

“His contributions to governance, party building, and national development will not be forgotten. He was a leader whose counsel, experience, and dedication earned him admiration across the political spectrum,” he added.

On behalf of the DIB Movement, his family, and himself, Dr. Bangura extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, the APC leadership and membership, and the people of Sierra Leone. He urged party members and citizens to draw inspiration from the late Chairman’s commitment to duty, service, and patriotism.

Dr. Bangura concluded by praying for Allah’s mercy upon the deceased, asking that his shortcomings be forgiven, his good deeds rewarded, and that he be granted Al‑Jannah Firdaus.

Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray’s passing has been widely mourned across Sierra Leone, with tributes continuing to pour in for a man remembered for his steadfast service to party and country.
