Washington, D.C. — October 2025: The 2025 African Cultural Night Awards delivered an evening of elegance, pride, and celebration, spotlighting the achievements of African diaspora leaders who continue to uplift their communities through service and innovation.
Among the distinguished honorees was Dr. Lucy Koroma, Founder and CEO of Muna’s Heart Nursing Services and the Muna Heart to Hand Foundation. She was recognized for her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to empowering the African diaspora, earning accolades that included a Certificate of Appreciation from the Prince George’s County Council and a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from U.S. Congressman Glenn Ivey.
Dr. Koroma’s work was celebrated as a beacon of inspiration, advancing cultural preservation, economic development, and community empowerment. Her dual roles in healthcare and philanthropy have made a lasting impact on families and individuals across the diaspora.
