Port Loko, Sierra Leone – February 14, 2026: The Eastern Bonthe Konike University of Science and Technology (EBKUST) will host the Mr. and Miss EBKUST Port Loko 2026 pageant this Saturday, February 14, at Nice Park, EBKUST Port Loko Campus. The grand finale, branded “The Throne Awaits”, promises a Valentine’s Night to Remember, with festivities beginning at 8:00 PM.
A Platform for Talent and Culture
Speaking ahead of the event, Sister Hannah, President of the EBKUST Port Loko Campus, emphasized the university’s commitment to holistic student development beyond academics.
“At EBKUST, we are passionate about the social life and overall development of our students. This pageant is one of the ways we provide a platform for them to express themselves and showcase their talents,” she said.
The competition will award a USD 1,000 star prize to the winners, who will be judged across segments including personality, intellect, stage presence, and talent. Beyond the crowns, winners will serve as ambassadors of excellence, culture, and unity for EBKUST Port Loko.
Sister Hannah noted that many students possess remarkable abilities that often go unnoticed due to limited opportunities. “A lot of our students are talented, but they don’t always have the chance to show what they can do. That is why we decided to organize this event—to help them discover, develop, and believe in their abilities,” she explained.
Contestants will undergo structured training designed to build confidence, discipline, and self-realization, ensuring personal growth that extends beyond the competition.
Organizers stressed that Mr. and Miss EBKUST Port Loko has evolved into a platform celebrating beauty with purpose, intelligence, leadership, and creativity. The competition seeks to crown male and female students who embody confidence, discipline, community spirit, and the values of EBKUST both on and off campus.
The night will feature high-energy performances, music, fashion, and cultural displays reflecting the vibrant spirit of the campus. From runway showcases to captivating talent segments, every moment is designed to inspire and entertain.

With the slogan “Kam & Get Fun — Port Loko Go Loud!”, organizers are calling on students, alumni, and the general public to attend in large numbers and be part of this historic celebration.
