Five accused persons – Mai Dumbuya, Tamba Lebbie, Alfred Kargbo, Ishmail Samura and Peter Kalokoh – were yesterday remanded in the male and female correctional centers in Freetown.
They were arraigned on two counts of conspiracy to murder and murder.
According to the prosecution, the accused persons on Sunday, May 5, 2022 at Big Water, main Peninsula Road in Freetown, conspired with other persons unknown and murdered one Memuna Bangura.
I’m count two it was alleged that the 5th accused murdered the said victim.
When the matter was called in court no plea was taken.
The 1st and 4th accused were represented by defense Lawyer D Barrie who only asked that his clients be given a short adjournment date. At this juncture, the matter was adjourned to August 1, 2022.
