FREETOWN, Oct. 1, 2026: Sierra Leonean financial technology platform Flot has launched a nationwide customer rewards campaign dubbed “Link & Win,” offering weekly cash prizes and a grand prize trip for two to Dubai to encourage customers to connect their mobile wallets to bank accounts and transact seamlessly between the two.

The three-month campaign, which runs from October 1 to December 31, 2026, is being implemented in partnership with Zenith Bank Sierra Leone and Sky Bank Sierra Leone, with Ecobank Sierra Leone expected to join in the coming weeks.

Under the promotion, 40 customers will win cash prizes ranging from SLE200 to SLE2,000 every Friday for 13 consecutive weeks. At the end of the campaign, one lucky customer will receive an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Dubai.

Speaking at the launch, David Kpakima, Chief Executive Officer of Open Banking Hub, the company behind Flot, said the campaign is designed to bridge the gap between mobile wallets and traditional banking services.

“For too long, the wallet and the bank account have lived separate lives, and Sierra Leoneans have paid for the distance between them,” Kpakima said. “Link & Win closes that gap. Link your account, move your money the way modern economies do, and every Friday an ordinary transaction becomes an extraordinary win.”

He added that the initiative is not only about prizes but also about expanding financial inclusion by making it easier for people to access and use formal banking services.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Sierra Leone, Ugochukwu Irechukwu, described the campaign as a practical step toward deeper financial inclusion.

“When a customer links a wallet to a bank account, they are not just entering a draw. They are stepping fully into the formal financial system, with everything that membership brings, including security, records, credit history and access,” he said.

He noted that Zenith Bank looks forward to welcoming both new customers and those returning to reactivate dormant accounts.

Similarly, Fasasi Charles Adeniye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sky Bank Sierra Leone, said the initiative aligns with the country’s broader financial modernization agenda.

“An active, linked account builds a customer’s financial life and the nation’s economy at the same time, and this campaign will help bring thousands of dormant accounts back to life,” Adeniye said.

The organizers said customers without accounts at participating banks will not be excluded. Flot and its banking partners will help users open new accounts or reactivate dormant ones before linking them to the platform.

The campaign follows what Flot describes as strong early growth since its public launch. In September, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio received the first Flot Ultra Black Card, while First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio received the second card during the platform’s official public launch.

According to the company, Flot allows users to hold Leone and U.S. dollar wallets, make payments through WhatsApp, purchase airtime, pay bills and transfer money instantly to other users. The platform also offers a range of Visa cards and travel services, including flight search, booking and payment features through Flot Travel.

To participate in the Link & Win promotion, customers must download the Flot application or access an existing wallet, complete verification, link their wallet to a participating bank account and conduct transactions between their wallet and bank account. Eligible participants are automatically entered into weekly draws, with winners announced every Friday through Flot’s official channels.

The company said all draws will be conducted transparently and in accordance with published terms and conditions available on its website.
