Sierra Leone – October 2, 2025:Renowned poet and creative writer Foday Fuad Turay, popularly known as CriticalThinker, is set to unveil one of Sierra Leone’s most ambitious literary undertakings with the launch of The Prophecy Genre—a poetry album and anthology book—on Saturday, November 8, 2025. The event will take place at IMATT College in Kingtom, commencing at 3 p.m.
Described by Turay as a revolutionary fusion of spoken word and literature, The Prophecy Genre carries the evocative tagline: “100 Themes. 100 Flames. One Pen. One Mic. One Voice. One Revolution.” The project features one hundred poems exploring universal themes such as love, loss, faith, power, identity, freedom, dreams, and redemption.
“This is not just poetry; it is art set on fire,” Turay said. “Each theme represents a flame rising against silence.”
With over a decade of experience in poetry and creative writing, Turay emphasized that the project is more than a literary collection—it is a tool for social engagement. He outlined three core objectives: promoting education through entertainment (edutainment), preserving African cultural narratives within global discourse, and empowering youth through creativity and resilience.
The launch event promises a dynamic blend of live spoken-word performances, exclusive readings from the anthology, musical interludes, and a networking platform for artists, students, educators, and professionals.Turay is actively seeking sponsorship and partnership support from corporate institutions, philanthropists, and cultural organizations. He noted that sponsors will benefit from brand visibility and media coverage while aligning with a movement rooted in education, empowerment, and the arts.
The Prophecy Genre is poised to ignite conversations, inspire action, and elevate Sierra Leone’s literary landscape.
