Plans are underway to build a modern administrative complex, rehabilitate the warehouse, and install a 1MW solar power system to enhance energy sustainability.

Workforce Development and Training

Africa Global Logistics recently conducted refresher and intensive training for 160 staff members, facilitated by 10 expatriates, at a cost of US$400,000.

Captain Kokan emphasized his commitment to local capacity building, noting that 99.9% of the workforce is Sierra Leonean.

The company prioritizes female empowerment, recognizing the unique perspectives women bring to problem-solving and leadership.

Corporate Social Responsibility in Action

The company has awarded education scholarships to community members, with one recipient now serving in a middle-level managerial role.

CSR initiatives include: distribution of school materials to children, scholarships for students, donation of agricultural equipment to women farmers in Kenema, and ongoing school construction projects, among others.

Captain Kokan reaffirmed that education and training are the backbone of national development, and Africa Global Logistics remains committed to investing in Sierra Leone’s future—both at the port and in the communities it serves.
