Freetown, Sierra Leone — The countdown to Housemates Salone Season 4 has taken a thrilling turn as Ishmael “Daddy” Bangura, a celebrated Sierra Leonean creative, officially enters the competition. Known for his multifaceted career as a journalist, teacher, filmmaker, and CEO of FINE Creative Multimedia and FINE Television, Bangura is poised to bring a fresh wave of authenticity and entertainment to the reality TV show.
Speaking to local media, Bangura expressed his bold vision for the season: “Previous seasons of Housemates Salone have been good, but they’ve missed that extra spark to keep audiences glued to their screens. I’m stepping into the house to deliver just that—a housemate who’s real, entertaining, and unforgettable.”
Born in Kambia and raised across several vibrant Freetown communities—including Foulah Town, Dworzark, Bambara Town, Leicester Road, Congo Market, and Brookfield—Bangura’s deep cultural roots have shaped his creative journey. Dubbed “The People’s Actor and Creative Force,” he has built a reputation through years of acting, filmmaking, and community engagement, with notable collaborations including Sierra Network Comedy, KID-AFAN Films, Serra Tong, and The Scuffle. He also previously served as National Coordinator of the Actors Guild of Sierra Leone.
“Housemates Salone is the perfect platform to showcase what I’m all about,” Bangura said. “As a filmmaker, educator, and storyteller, I’ve learned from real-life experiences and the people around me. I’m ready to bring that wisdom, creativity, and passion to a bigger stage.”
Bangura’s academic journey began at UMC George Brook Primary School, continued at Prince of Wales Secondary School, and culminated in a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Njala University. He spent five years teaching at Rising Academy Network, balancing his educational role with a thriving career in media and entertainment. His contributions to Culture Radio, Jamboree Newspaper, and Sky Times have further cemented his status as a versatile media professional.
With the launch of Season 4 set for July 18, 20252, Bangura has already begun a nationwide campaign, touring towns and villages to rally support and build excitement. “This journey is bigger than me,” he emphasized. “It’s about entertaining, uniting, and inspiring communities. I’m calling on every Sierra Leonean, especially the creative minds out there, to stand with me and make history in Season 4.”
Beyond his media and teaching credentials, Bangura brings a wide array of talents to the table—from cooking and singing to writing and leading community initiatives. His charisma, resilience, and creative vision position him as a standout contender for the coveted Housemates Salone title.
“I’m not here to blend in,” Bangura declared. “I’m here to ignite the house and show the world what Sierra Leonean creativity can do.”
