Veteran Sierra Leonean striker Kei Kamara will continue his illustrious football career with FC Cincinnati, having signed a deal through December 2025, with an option for 2026. His signing marks a historic milestone, as he becomes the first player in MLS history to play for 12 different teams.

The 40-year-old forward, who boasts an impressive track record in Major League Soccer (MLS), is currently second on the league’s all-time scoring list and is one of only 13 players to have netted 100 goals. Over the course of 300 appearances, Kamara has scored for 11 different MLS clubs—a testament to his enduring talent and adaptability.

FC Cincinnati, currently leading the Eastern Conference after 12 rounds with 25 points (eight wins, one draw, and three losses), welcomed Kamara as a free agent following his stint at LAFC last season, where he made 40 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. He was also part of the squad that lifted the U.S. Open Cup championship title.

FC Cincinnati General Manager Chris Albright praised Kamara’s arrival, stating, “We’re excited to add a player with Kei’s quality, experience, and leadership to FC Cincinnati.” He also noted that Kamara’s presence would bring a new dynamic to the team’s attack.

Kamara joins a squad featuring Kévin Denkey, Sergio Santos, Evander, and Luca Orellano, as the club pushes for success in the 2025 MLS campaign. His signing is expected to strengthen Cincinnati’s offensive lineup, adding veteran experience to the team’s pursuit of silverware.
