Mohamed Bangalie of NASSIT Appointed to Continental Advisory Committee for World PR Summit 2026

Mohamed Bangalie, Head of Public Affairs at the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), has been appointed to the Continental Advisory Committee (CAC) for the upcoming World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) 2026, set to take place in Abuja, Nigeria.

The appointment was confirmed in a formal letter from Dr. Ike Neliaku, President and Chairman of Council of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). The CAC serves as a Pan-African framework established by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management to provide strategic guidance and foster continental collaboration for the successful hosting of the summit.

According to Dr. Neliaku, the committee comprises Chairmen and Presidents of national public relations associations and institutes across Africa. Its formation reflects Africa’s growing influence in global communication and aims to ensure a memorable and impactful summit.

Reacting to the news, Mr. Bangalie expressed deep appreciation for the recognition, describing the appointment as a “noble gesture from the doyen of public relations in Africa.” He pledged to use the opportunity to elevate Sierra Leone’s profile in the field of public relations and communication management.

“This is no mean feat,” Bangalie remarked. “I owe my gratitude to the Director General, Mr. Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, and my immediate boss, Mr. Osman Koroma, for their mentorship and guidance.”

Congratulatory messages poured in from NASSIT leadership. Director General Daboh praised Bangalie’s dedication and professionalism, stating, “Bumper congratulations on your appointment, Mr. Bangalie. NASSIT is so proud of you. Go and make Sierra Leone proud—we trust your judgement and acumen.”

Osman Koroma, General Manager of Public Affairs and Events Management at NASSIT, echoed the sentiment, noting, “Bangalie is a hardworking gentleman who is always willing to learn new and emerging issues in the field of public relations.”

The World Public Relations Forum is the flagship event of the Global Alliance, bringing together communication professionals, academics, industry leaders, and policymakers from around the globe. The 2026 edition, hosted by NIPR, is expected to be a landmark gathering for the continent.
