– China Aid will provide seating arrangements, set for installation in October 2025, with completion expected within 14 months.
Government’s Commitment & Challenges
Dr. Sengeh reaffirmed the government’s dedication to completing Phase 1 by December 2025 and ensuring full project completion within 18 to 20 months. Acknowledging delays due to safety concerns, financial adjustments, and design modifications, he assured that any unforeseen challenges would be addressed without additional funding from China.
Call for Collaboration & Future Impact
Urging continued cooperation among stakeholders, the Chief Minister emphasized that a modernized stadium would boost Sierra Leone’s sports infrastructure and enhance its international standing.
“With transparency, teamwork, and strategic oversight, we will deliver a stadium that meets global standards, benefits our athletes, and strengthens Sierra Leone’s presence on the world stage,” Dr. Sengeh concluded.
