PPRC Gazettes Unity Party Electoral Regulations

Freetown, July 10, 2026 – The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has officially gazetted the Unity Party’s Internal Electoral Regulations 2026, opening them up for public scrutiny over a 30-day period.

According to the Commission, the regulations were published in the Government Gazette Vol. CLXVII No. 60 and will remain available for objections and comments from Thursday, July 9, to Friday, August 7, 2026.

The PPRC stated that objections may be submitted by Unity Party members or the general public either at its headquarters on OAU Drive, Tower Hill, Freetown, or through its regional and district offices in Bo, Kenema, Makeni, Port Loko, and Kono. Submissions can also be made via email to info@pprc.gov.sl or pprcsierraleone@yahoo.com before the close of business on August 7.

Copies of the gazetted regulations are available for purchase at the Sierra Leone Government Bookshop on Wallace Johnson Street in Freetown.

The Commission emphasized that the move is in line with Section 23 of the Political Parties Act 2022, Act No. 25 of 2022, which mandates transparency and public participation in the internal electoral processes of political parties.
