Freetown, Sierra Leone — June 9, 2025: Rokel Commercial Bank (RCBank) has intensified efforts to promote financial inclusion and expand access to instant digital payment systems, including prepaid cards and Visa cards. The campaign aligns with the recently launched National Payment Switch by the Bank of Sierra Leone, aimed at modernizing digital transactions in the country.

Brand Ambassador Leads Awareness Campaign

As part of this initiative, popular comedian and influencer Kindo Armani, who serves as RCBank’s brand ambassador, has been engaging the public across Western Area to raise awareness about the bank’s digital payment solutions.

Alongside the Visa activation campaign team, Armani met with shop owners, restaurant managers, public and private sector workers, and passersby, explaining the benefits of RCBank’s innovative payment platforms.

“With RCBank prepaid cards, you don’t need to have a bank account. These cards work anywhere in the world where cards are accepted. We are making payments seamless in Sierra Leone—whether shopping online, paying bills, booking hotels, or making international transactions,” Armani emphasized.

Seamless Access to Digital Payments

To obtain an RCBank Visa card, customers only need to present a valid ID and make an initial deposit of NLE 200, without any obligation to open a bank account. The card enables users to:

– Withdraw cash from any ATM globally.

– Make secure online purchases and bill payments.

– Book hotels and airline tickets effortlessly.

RCBank has positioned its prepaid and Visa card services as part of a broader E-banking package, known as “E-baskit”, which consolidates all its electronic banking solutions, including mobile and online banking. This initiative aims to reduce reliance on physical bank visits, offering convenience, security, and efficiency.

Commitment to Financial Inclusion

By expanding access to digital payment solutions, RCBank reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that individuals previously excluded from the banking system can participate in modern financial transactions.

As the campaign continues, the bank seeks to drive awareness, expand adoption, and empower more Sierra Leoneans through seamless, technology-driven financial services.
