Sierra Leone Makes History at Ride Afrique Cycling Competition in Accra, Ghana

The Lunsar Cycling Club has officially announced its six-man team set to represent Sierra Leone at the prestigious 2025 Ride Afrique cycling competition in Accra, Ghana. This marks a monumental moment in Sierra Leonean cycling, as it is the first time a local club is sending a team to compete internationally.

The Sierra Leonean cyclists will compete against six international teams, including Nigeria’s Team Pitstop and Team I’llubrine, along with ten top cycling clubs from Ghana. The event presents a unique opportunity for the nation’s athletes to showcase their talent and fly the green, white, and blue on the international stage.

This achievement has been made possible through the sponsorship of young philanthropist Abdul Karim Kamara, fondly known as Stylish. Kamara’s unwavering support for Sierra Leone’s sports development has paved the way for the team to compete at this high-profile event.

  2. Abu Sheik Sesay
  3. Moses L. Kamara
  4. Minkailu Manlam Conteh
