SLFA President Meets New Organising Committee, Sets FA Cup as Immediate Priority

Freetown, January 26, 2026:  The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Babadi Kamara, has held his first official meeting with the newly constituted Organising Committee, tasking the body with making the FA Cup its immediate priority while outlining its broader responsibilities across SLFA competitions.

The meeting, which took place at the SLFA Secretariat, focused on strategic planning and coordination for the upcoming FA Cup. Discussions also covered the committee’s wider role in overseeing and advising on other competitions and major events organized by the SLFA.

President Kamara underscored the importance of professionalism, transparency, and effective coordination in the committee’s work. He emphasized that the Organising Committee is critical not only to the successful delivery of the FA Cup but also to advising the Executive Committee on competitions such as the Men’s and Women’s Premier League, Division One and Two leagues, playoffs, and other flagship SLFA events.

Chairman of the Organising Committee, Abdul Osman Turay, speaking on behalf of members, expressed gratitude for the President’s leadership and pledged the committee’s full commitment to executing its mandate. He assured that the team will work diligently to ensure the successful delivery of all competitions under its purview.
