Freetown – Robert Kondema Kargbo, Deputy National Chairman of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), has fulfilled his pledge to support Masjid Hameed at Low-Cost Bridge, Kissy, with a donation of 50 bags of 25kg rice. The gesture is aimed at assisting worshippers during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Kargbo, who spent part of his early years in the Kissy community, described the donation as both a moral responsibility and a personal commitment to the mosque and its congregation. In addition to the mosque contribution, he presented five bags of rice to a local support group in Kissy.

The donation follows a promise made during his visit to Masjid Hameed on November 28, 2025, when he assured the leadership that he would provide rice for the congregation during Ramadan. Welcoming the fulfillment of that pledge, mosque leaders offered prayers for Kargbo’s continued guidance and protection.

The initiative underscores Kargbo’s connection to grassroots communities and his commitment to supporting religious institutions and vulnerable groups during significant periods such as Ramadan.
