The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has issued a public notice distancing itself from any engagements undertaken by former minister Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally in the party’s name, warning members, supporters, businesses and the wider public against conducting official transactions with him on behalf of the party.
In the notice dated September 19, 2026, the ruling party stated that none of its executives, officials, representatives or supporters is authorized to engage, negotiate or conduct business with Tarawally under the authority of the SLPP unless expressly sanctioned by the party’s appropriate leadership.
The party further stressed that no individual should use the SLPP’s name, logo, structure, authority or official standing to facilitate any dealings involving Tarawally without formal authorization.
The notice also extended the warning to businesses, companies, development partners, organizations and other stakeholders, advising them not to enter into any financial, contractual, political or other arrangements with Tarawally on the purported authority of the party.
According to the SLPP, any person claiming to represent the party while engaging with Tarawally does so without its approval unless such authority has been formally communicated by the party’s leadership.
The party urged members of the public and the business community to verify directly with authorized SLPP officials before entering into any transaction or arrangement purportedly conducted in the party’s name.
The notice, signed by National Publicity Secretary Moses Sellu Mambu, said the move is intended to protect the integrity of the party’s name, authority, structures and official engagements while preventing unauthorized representation.
