Freetown, Sierra Leone — Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 has committed Mohamed Sanu, a former ward coordinator, and Pastor Kelly Marrah to the High Court for trial on charges of misprision of treason.

The two were arraigned on Monday, 10th November 2025, following allegations that they knowingly concealed the commission of treason by Daniel Keleh Mansaray, also known as “Ceaser,” and others. According to the indictment, the offense occurred between 26th November 2023 and 26th July 2025 in Freetown.

During the proceedings, State Counsel Yusuf Isaac Sesay informed the court that the prosecution had presented its witnesses and was closing its case, paving the way for the matter to be transferred to the High Court.

In his ruling, Magistrate Jah stated that he had thoroughly reviewed the evidence and was satisfied that the prosecution had established sufficient grounds for the defendants to face trial. He subsequently ordered that both Sanu and Marrah be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility pending their appearance before the High Court.
