The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has hailed another milestone in its drive to elevate women’s football, as three Sierra Leonean female officials have earned prestigious roles in the ongoing FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup African qualifiers.
Under the leadership of SLFA President Babadi Kamara and his Executive Committee, the appointments mark growing international recognition of Sierra Leone’s football administrators and referees.
Veteran Match Commissioner Emilia Kamara Jengo has been selected by FIFA to oversee the qualifier between Liberia and Ghana, scheduled for 30 June 2026 at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Stadium in Monrovia, Liberia. Her appointment underscores the confidence FIFA and CAF continue to place in Sierra Leone’s football governance.
Meanwhile, Fatmata Mansaray will serve as Assistant Referee, and Humu Marrah has been named Fourth Official for the qualifier between Nigeria and Guinea, set for Sunday, 31 May 2026 at the Ikenne-Remo Stars Stadium in Ogun State, Nigeria.
The SLFA described the trio’s appointments as a testament to its ongoing efforts to empower women in football and strengthen Sierra Leone’s reputation in international officiating. The Association extended congratulations to the officials, wishing them success as they represent the nation on the continental stage.
