Masonic Lodge Donates Medical Equipment to Strengthen Healthcare Support

Freetown, – May 2026: The Sierra Leone and The Gambia District Grand Stewards Lodge has reaffirmed its commitment to service with a significant donation of medical equipment during the Annual Convocation and Communication of the District Grand Lodge of Sierra Leone and The Gambia.

The presentation, marked by fraternity and compassion, underscored one of the Lodge’s core principles — service to the District. The equipment, intended to support basic medical care for brethren across the jurisdiction, was formally handed over by Primus Master Sir Oliver Charles Andrews.

Receiving the donation, District Grand Master Rt. W. Bro. Emile Moses Charles Carr expressed deep gratitude, describing the gesture as timely and thoughtful. He noted that the contribution would strengthen the District’s capacity to provide essential healthcare assistance to members of the Masonic family.

Beyond the donation, the District Grand Stewards Lodge announced plans to collaborate with the District on health‑related seminars, awareness programmes, and training sessions. These initiatives aim to equip brethren with knowledge on preventive healthcare and basic medical practices, complementing future contributions of medical resources.

The Lodge’s charitable efforts continue to embody the spirit of Freemasonry — relieving distress, promoting welfare, and extending a helping hand where it is most needed. Through sustained partnership with the District Grand Lodge, the Stewards Lodge remains steadfast in its mission to uplift and make a meaningful difference in the lives of brethren.
