WARAWARA BAFODIA, KOINADUGU DISTRICT – A wave of grief has swept through the community of Warawara Bafodia following the tragic death of Pastor Sheka, whose body was discovered in a nearby forest after he failed to return home from a honey harvesting expedition.
According to Ibrahim Sorie, Chairman of the Policing Partnership Board, Pastor Sheka had left his ministry church to collect honey when the incident occurred. Preliminary accounts suggest that a stick or branch he was cutting broke and struck him, leading to fatal injuries. However, the exact circumstances remain under investigation.
Concern grew when Pastor Sheka’s wife reported that she had spent the entire night without hearing from her husband, an unusual break from his routine. Alarmed, she initiated a search the following morning, which ended in tragedy when she found his lifeless body in the forest.
Local authorities were immediately notified, and security personnel, along with investigators, visited the scene to begin inquiries into the cause of death. Officials are working to reconstruct the sequence of events to determine precisely what led to the pastor’s demise.
The community, still in shock, has described Pastor Sheka as a devoted servant of faith whose loss leaves a deep void. Residents await the outcome of the investigation as they mourn his passing.
